PROJECT INFO
Remodel, Single-Family
San Francisco, CA
Photographed By Scott Donschikowski
Designed for a young family in San Francisco’s Sunset District, this home was conceived as a vibrant and contemporary space that could evolve naturally with everyday life. The clients were passionate about music, art, and color, and wanted an environment that felt modern, welcoming, and deeply personal without sacrificing functionality for a growing family.
Working within a fast timeline before their move-in date, the project focused on balancing efficiency with character. Quick-ship furnishings were thoughtfully layered with carefully selected statement pieces, custom details, textured wall treatments, and bold color moments that brought identity and warmth to the home.
Throughout the interiors, rich blues, charcoal tones, warm woods, and saturated accents create a playful but refined atmosphere. Sculptural furniture, integrated lighting, and graphic elements were used to give each room a strong visual personality while maintaining a cohesive flow across the home.
The living room combines soft curved forms with dramatic color blocking, creating an inviting gathering space filled with natural light. In the dining area, moody textures and contemporary lighting add depth and intimacy, while the nursery introduces a softer palette inspired by nature and calm simplicity. Outdoor spaces were also reimagined to extend the living experience, blending functionality with a modern urban aesthetic.
The result is a home that feels expressive, comfortable, and collected over time, despite the accelerated schedule. A contemporary family home designed to support creativity, connection, and daily life.
